Product Application:
This type of MDF to trim out designs when building headboards, bookcases, chests or many other kinds of painted furniture. If you have a good blade on your table saw and you take your time, you can get a laser straight cut with a perfect edge that looks fantastic when painted.
Cherry Melamine MDF is easy to shape with a router, and it stays in place well with glue and just some pin nails or brads. One thing to note if you have not painted MDF before is I typically get the best results with an oil based paint. If you want to use a water based paint, we recommend using an oil based primer and then letting it fully dry first. This stuff sands well and you can use it for a wide array of projects.
- Cuts and routs cleanly
- Decorative edge profiles and intricate contours deep in the core are also easily produced
- It can be painted, printed, stained, veneered or laminated with excellent results
- Machined edges are smooth and perform equally well for either wet or dry film edge finishing
